Mr. Froggy is back
Hey,

Remmember sad story of mr. Froggy? We have good news. Terrorists saw that Amit's heart is not soft enough, and they returned mr. Froggy back.

Look how happy Amit is.

Member satisfaction survey
Can you believe it?!
In less than 3 days we already have 293 responses.
Now I just wonder how much time it will take to have 1000 responses. Or will we have 10k responses?

You have no clue what I am talking about? Global member satisfaction survey is out, fill it at Global members community on AIESEC.net

Lele's last words
Hi AI 05-06!

It has been taking a while for me till I finally send this out.
The purpose of this email is to share some thoughts with you.

AI: Since you all arrived here on June 1st, you are all AI. And being AI means being responsible for all the mistakes and achievements that AI has had through out the years.
It’s a great responsibility.

And sometimes we decide to take the easiest path, which means ignoring the past or blaming people - when the past and the people are what have made us being here today.
Transition tries to ensure knowledge transfer, but still nobody will ever know about the specific challenges faced by each team in each year. Challenges that made them choose for one path or another. This comes with experience.

One year is not a lot of time. You will see that in a few days you will see yourselves in outgoing teamdays. However, the power of continuity has made AI make a difference to AIESEC internationally. Right or wrong, the organization seems to be growing and seems to be streghtening the experience AIESEC provides thus increasing its relevance. Consider these things when making your own choices.

Team: Coming out of outgoing teamdays I can say: I have a great team. Teams are not about processes or standards. It is about a common decision of being a team. Words that are said or written can easily become empty words if you don’t decide to act upon them. And this is a daily choice.

Daily choice made by human beings that are meant to fail as a principle. The team you want to be will depend on your daily choice of being this person and, most important, the choice of appreciating diversity and learning how to live in a diverse environment. This is not easy at all.
One of the most wonderful things about being on AI is to learn from so many bright, smart and inspiring people that come from various corners of the world - and most probably after one year you won't have that ever again.

Learning to appreciate others' talents and achievements when they don't necessarily come from our own hands and to feel happy from the inner part of ourselves when this happens is one of the most difficult things to do.
This is team.

Us: The hardest part is to remain true to ourselves. Learning to appreciate ourselves with failures and successes is what I take out of this one year. We are not meant to be perfect, we are meant to be ourselves. Remember that when you were selected to join the team you were selected with your imperfections - they make all that you are today. I am saying this because the easiest thing is to start playing games with ourselves and pretend to be somebody else that we are not. Be honest to you no matter what it takes and request other people to be honest as well.

These are my words. I messed up in all the three things I mentioned to you above and it was painful.

I hope you have a great year!

Lele.

Starting again...
So once an avid blogger - bringing the scandal to the AIESEC network I've been lazy and poor in my blogging efforts and I pledge to resume.

It is funny no matter how many times one moves, how long one lives away from home, how ever many plan trips you take - you can still be home sick. I thought I was immune to it. BUT no...today I was homesick - where ever "HOME" may be... Today I missed my brother, my sister, my Mum and Dad. There is nothing better than being with people who know you the best, who understand your humour, you love and laugh at you in the same breath. I miss them - I miss the stories, the jokes, the laughs, and the hugs. It's summer so I miss the frozen fruit in wine on the deck in the afternoon, I miss sailing with my dad, I miss happy hour with my brother, and I miss sun tanning with Harry Potter and my sister.

Never FORGET and never take it for GRANTED...

AIESEC in SSGN gets 81800 USD from Kellogg Foundation

Kellogg Posted by Picasa

... TO strengthen and train a network of Latin American youth to be socially responsible leaders in the private and third

Congratulations to all of us!

This week the SSGN Board was notified that it was approved for AIESEC in the SSGN a grant from the W.K. KELLOGG FOUNDATION Latin American and Caribbean! for an amount of 81800 USD!

The work around W.K. KELLOGG is an example of team work and continuity. The foundation was contacted for the first time by the SSGN Board 2003/2004, Board that submitted the first version of the proposal. Last term, in March the SSGN Board 04/05 was contacted again by W.K. KELLOGG, in order to request an update of the proposal, as well as an update of the developments of the Explora Program in ganeral. And now since this June the SSGN Board 2005 2006 was coordinting all the delivery of the final legal requirements as kick off and delivery of the recently approved partnership.

Here you can find the submitted and approved proposal: http://www.aiesec.net/members/americasuno/file-storage/file?file_id=29700908
Here you can find the approval letter: http://www.aiesec.net/members/americasuno/file-storage/file?file_id=29700964

I want to thank in this email one more time AIESEC in Brazil, MC 0405 and 0506 for their tremendous support and for being the enabler country in the GN, that will exercise the legal representation of AIESEC in SSGN in front of W.K. KELLOGG.

We have opened a forum for you all to ask your questions, and where Johanna Garcia, Explora Coordinator, will be mapping out all the amazing implementation and delivery plan of these wonderful project. Approved W.K. Kellog Proposal: http://www.aiesec.net/members/americasuno/forums/message-view?message_id=29701023
Seems like transition months are wonderful times to pick up results! One year ago we were also celebrating the approval of the Artemisia Partnership! Let's go SSGN, our VISION 2008 is not anymore that far away!

When it's your turn, it's your turn.....
How many other 20,000 person organisations would have the CEO cleaning the toilets in the head office? When Brodie's name cycles around on the list, no amount of "global leadership....strategy....mandate from the organisation....." excuses can get you out of your ultimate responsibility to create clean bathrooms for the leaders of tomorrow.

Filming AI

Yesterday we had Oliver Bramford [thefrufoatgmaildotcom] in the office. Oliver, a member from AIESEC Birmingham, interviewed AI members BBC style for a project that will be developing promotional materials for @, but also as part of a much larger Knowledge Management initiative.
